You must act quickly to receive your tax credit. Applications from businesses will be processed until the amount of available tax credits is exhausted.

Educational Improvement Tax Credit                                  

Act 4 of 2001 amended the Public School Code to provide for the establishment of the Educational Improvement Tax Credit to be administered by the Department of Community and Economic Development.  Act 4 authorized the award of tax credits to businesses that make contributions to scholarship organizations or educational improvement organizations included on the list of organizations published by DCED.

Act 48 of 2003 authorizes the award of $40 million in tax credits to businesses that make contributions to Scholarship Organizations or Educational Improvement Organizations. A total of $26.7 million is available for contributions to Scholarship Organizations and $13.3 million available for donations to Educational Improvement Organizations.

Tax credit applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis by day submitted.  All applications received on a specific day will be processed on a random basis before moving on to the next day's applications.
